Jeremy Rabkin, Public Interest, Spring 1996.
Excerpt:
Herbert Storing was probably the outstanding scholar of the American Founding of the past generation. Before he died in 1977—of a heart attack at the age of 49—he had completed most of the work on a fully annotated, seven-volume collection of Anti-Federalist writings. It will endure as a monument of scholarship when the scribblings of most of his contemporaries are long forgotten.
