OUT of the blue one day — this was two summers ago — here came some copies of letters Ken Kesey had written from various hideouts in Mexico. They had been relayed by a friend of Kesey who suggested I write an article about him. Kesey was still in hiding because of two marijuana charges he had ducked out on.
