Excerpt: Shortly before the President’s October 22 speech declaring a quarantine on shipment of arms to Cuba and demanding the removal of Soviet missiles from that country, the New York Times reported on a dozen or more candidates for Congress around the country who were running, to a greater or lesser extent, on a “peace” platform, and who were accordingly being supported by some of the groups that form what is generally called the “peace movement.”
